Senior Night Out on Friday, Apr. 3, was host to approximately 200 guests. The annual event, organized by the Alumni Association, was held at the Hotel St. Michael. The Alumni Association and the staff of the Hotel St. Michael provided free food and music in celebration of the upcoming graduation.

The goal of the Alumni Association and the Alumni Student Connection Program is to create fond memories and keep students connected with each other. They organize events such as the Senior Night Out and the Etiquette Dinner; they also help with campus-wide events such as Freshman Orientation and the activities fair.

Bill Thompson and the Alumni Association decided on a Western theme for this year's Senior Night Out. Cowboy hats were handed out for free at the door. The band, Uncle Click, performed country and rock music, primarily.

The evening kicked off at 6:00 p.m. with Thompson and others greeting the students as they trickled in. The band started playing shortly after most of the guests had arrived. The bar offered free soft drinks to all guests and free beer and wine to the attendees who were of age.

The general mood of the evening was one of excitement about the upcoming graduation.

"We're almost out of here!" exclaimed Jacob Flores, voicing a sentiment shared by many of the other seniors in attendance.

Midway through the celebration, while the band took a short break, Thompson held a raffle for various alumni gifts, such as cups, key chains, and polo shirts. The raffle questions were on Arizona and Prescott trivia.

A few guests were enthusiastic enough about the music to dance to a few songs. Among those who enjoyed it the most were Col. Fred Cone and his wife. Cone said, "this is one of the best parties I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot." He was impressed with the group of students who attended and their enthusiasm in the event.

By around 8:30, the crowd had dwindled and people began to return home. Everyone who attended seemed to enjoy the event. The tradition will continue next year.
