Weight Room Gets New Look And Feel
Jay Kwon
Issue date: 4/15/09 Section: Sports
Recently, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University weight room was remodeled with newer equipment in hopes that students could work out more comfortably on campus.
However, students do not work out more comfortably; at least those who exercise in the free weight section don't. Many students prefer the older weight carriers and find them more comfortable and effective.
Some of the new weight systems appeal to those who use machines in their primary workout. However, most students lack the knowledge required to use weight machinery, being used to free-weight systems.
Nevertheless, students that work out often have found the positives of this new weight room. One can develop experience and familiarity, and comfort can be found in this new systematic machinery.
Whether the changes pleased or not, the students can get their same workout routines; they just have to do so in different ways. The weight room still provides its original purpose: serving the ERAU campus with a multifaceted facility that incorporates different ways to maintain health and condition.
