Class Activation
Issue date: 11/11/09 Section: News
Students who have not yet paid their full tuition or arranged for payment by the start of classes may find they cannot access class information in Blackboard or appear on class rosters.
Beginning with Spring 2010, all students must complete "class activation" by ensuring their financial obligations to the university have been met. This means that payment has been made in full, or financial aid is in place to cover tuition costs. Students can also arrange for a payment plan.
Activation of classes becomes effective when a student's account is paid in full or arrangements are made for payment. Once activated, a student's name will appear on the official class rosters and they will be able to access coursework in Blackboard.
Students should check to see that their class schedule is activated by logging into ERNIE.Â
If a student sees a banner that instructs them to "Activate your class schedule" there is action to be taken.
If a schedule has not yet been activated, a student may need to call or visit: Cashier (for payments and payment plans) (928) 777.3726
Financial Aid (for documents, signatures, etc.) (928) 777.3765
Instructors will be calling roll during the first week of classes. If they do not call out a student's name, it is likely that their schedule needs to be activated. Anyone needing assistance with activation should visit the cashiers in building 13. The Cashiers' Office will be open Monday through Friday, the first week of classes, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
