Prescott College Presents Folk Music
Issue date: 11/11/09 Section: News
Prescott College is hosting Paper Bird and Laura Goldhamer at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Prescott College Crossroads Café, behind the college's main buildings at 220 Grove Avenue.
An eclectic group of musicians who perform in the spirit of the Andrew Sisters and Bluegrass, Paper Bird sings beautiful harmonies to a rhythm of bass chords, guitar strums, banjo plucking, and trombone sliding, and has been called "music that makes you dance."
This show is fun for the whole family, and proceeds will benefit a Youth Action Research Conference that will be taking place in the spring of 2010 at Prescott College. There is a suggested donation of $5 to $10 at the door.
