Club Spotlight: Music Club
Music Club Enhances Campus With a Choir, Jazz Band, and Drum Line
Moritz Seebode
Issue date: 2/3/10 Section: Diversions
With the choir and jazz band back in place, it only takes logistics for the music club to put on spectacular performances in the future. One particularly dedicated student, Eric Linvill, sees himself responsible for most of the club's organizational tasks. With the departure of Heather Eckles, for example, the choir no longer had permission to use the interfaith chapel to practice and put on performances such as the winter concert towards the end of the fall 2009 semester. Eric is currently seeking to once more grant the choir access to the chapel for club- and performance-related purposes. Linvill, who is himself a member of the jazz band and is intending to join the choir this semester, recognizes that the member participation and the logistics of arranging practice times and performances are equally important to the survival and continued success of the music club as a whole.
