Here's what happens in this movie: Angels. Alas, not all movies can be enjoyable. More specifically, what actually happens is that one angel out of the millions in Heaven decides God's choice to wipe out humans is ill-founded, so he disobeys God's orders and escapes to Earth, steals some of Ben Affleck's moves from Dogma, and starts shooting the possessed angel-zombies that are trying to kill the baby that will be the savior to humanity. Now do you see why I hated this movie?
Note that I said "angel-zombies." Yes, they are angels possessing humans, and they exhibit the same traits as zombies. If you get bit, welcome to the pack. Fortunately, director Scott Stewart wasn't stupid enough to show us his depiction of God's image and he also made the wise choice to not portray angels solely as a bunch of man-eating mutants, so we get to see Gabriel and Michael in their body armor and bulletproof wings with various weapons ranging from curved knives to mechanical mace.
Now for the tough question: which aspects were enjoyable? For one, the special effects were not nearly as tacky as I anticipated. The acting wasn't atrocious either, but the endless barrage of bullets doesn't leave room for acting to matter; that's definitely a plus. There is also some ingenuity involved that helps ease the pain, so if you do decide to waste your money, you won't feel like you wasted a full two hours of your life.
